Electrical Engineer III
General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies is looking for an
experienced Electrical Engineer III to work with product
teams to provide earth station solutions to satellite
communication networks. This position presents the
opportunity to apply technical skills to a broad base of
applications. This is a low volume
engineering/production environment that will present a
range of challenges and opportunities to the right
individual. The desired candidate shall have a BS/MSEE
with a minimum of 4 to 6 years Satellite Communications
or RF design experience.
In this position, the Electrical Engineer II will be
responsible for marketing, engineering, product
development and program management activities associated
with the transportable control system product line. The
selected candidate will utilize their management skills
by providing management of group activities in support
of customers and development efforts. Performs personnel
management including: day to day assignments, yearly
reviews, training, and mentoring. Must be capable of
motivating staff and creating opportunities for their
staff to learn and grow in all aspects of the business.
The Engineer is responsible for developing marketing
leads, engineering solutions to satisfy the customers
requirements, creating cost and technical proposals in
response to RFQs (government and commercial), and
working with product engineers in the implementation of
the program requirements.
The desired candidate shall have the following skills:
SATCOM systems knowledge, including link budget
calculations, SATCOM parabolic antenna designs, antenna
feed designs, and antenna testing techniques.
Familiar with various manufacturers equipment for
satellite communications, including modems, LNAs, HPAs,
routers, switches, up converters, down converters, etc.
RF System design providing built in test capability
and signal distribution while maintaining system G/T.
Capable of managing technical and cost functions on
government and commercial contracts
Able to develop cost and technical proposals in
response to customer specifications and Statement of
Works (SOW).
You must have a Bachelors or Master degree in Electrical

Embedded Software Defined Radio Engineer

for a Software Defined Radio (SDR) and must be able to
