The candidate will serve as a focal point to the design team through New Product Introduction (NPI) and into full rate production of software definable radios in multiple different form factors to the US government. They will assume a leadership role during the NPI phase, and then continue to support the project during the production phase. This is a large complex project with over $4B worth of potential follow-on business. The candidate must work as an individual technical contributor as well as leading small task groups. Canidate must also plan and execute project tasks, develop manufacturing plans and strategies for specific products and processes, take initiative in proposing ideas/soliciting input/optimizing solutions, and actively interface with Electrical, Software, System, and Test Engineers on related technical problems. RESPONSIBILITIES

The Raytheon Technical Services Company LLC (RTSC) Export License & Compliance Advisor is responsible for providing guidance to RTSC businesses operating in the Mid-Atlantic and New England area on export licensing and compliance matters, including advising on licensing and regulatory matters, preparing and drafting licenses and agreements for review by government agencies. Advises businesses and assists with product classifications, export jurisdiction determinations and export documentation requirements. Advises our supplier / clients on regulatory information, which may impact their ability to do international business. Expected to actively participate in identification of export licensing strategies as part of a cross functional team (Business Development, Supply Chain, Contracts, Program Management, Logistics) to address future international growth opportunities. Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: assisting the RTSC Senior Manager of Export/Import Operations in the development of export compliance work instructions, the presentation of export compliance training materials to all levels of management and the implementation of internal self-assessments; determining and certifying appropriate legal authority for exports of dual-use commodities and technology and defense article hardware, technical data and defense services; ensuring maintenance of export license/exemptions/exception files, logs and records per governmental regulations and participating in RTSC and enterprise level special projects.
