Senior Systems Engineer
This position requires a multi-disciplined senior-level Systems Engineer with extensive technical and programmatic leadership experience in both defense and commercial product development. Position involves life-cycle product oversight starting with initial requirements and design definition and ranging through production startup, product sustainment, and customer support. This is a senior level position requiring at least 10 to 12 years of experience in the combined areas of systems engineering and program management. Candidate must demonstrate expertise in a breadth of technical fields, including radio communication, servo, and digital electronics, electromechanical systems, firmware and software, environmental qualification, manufacturing and production technologies, and system test. Position requires a grasp of fundamentals, a knack for organization and planning, team leadership skills, and disciplined execution.
In this role, you will be responsible for all system engineering coordination, planning/scheduling, detailed product requirements, analysis/trade studies and initial first-article qualification requirements analysis. Acts as Lead Systems Engineer and Product Engineer for various products. General Dynamics provides engineering support to the Naval Satellite Operations Center (NAVSOC) in operations of on-orbit satellites as well as assisting in preparation for new programs.
