This position requires a minimum of 3 years experience in GIS implementation and development. Responsibilities include participation in user requirements definition, GPS data collection, GIS data development and conversion, data entry, analysis and documentation. Must have a thorough undertsanding of GIS data development, data conversion, design and implementation of database specifications, database management, documentation, analysis and quality control.The GIS Analyst shall be responsible for advance geospatial analysis; education and training support and course development; development of workflow operators instructional (OI) manuals; and data translation support. The GIS Analyst shall also be responsible for custom cartographic products, multimedia, and special document design, development, and production. Substantial client interface is required. The successful candidate will have very strong communication (written, verbal, public speaking) and presentation skills.

Minimum required:
BA/BS or MA/MS degree in Geography, Natural Resources, Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Must have extensive experience with ArcInfo and/or ArcGIS. Three (3) years of experience working with imagery and/or using GIS to support military activities. Ability to work independently.

Desired:
Experience with 3D Analyst, Spatial Analyst, ArcIMS, ArcSDE, Oracle (or any RDBMS). Experience programming in Microsoft Visual Basic (VB) and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
