Job Description:
This Planner/Scheduler position supports the Program Management function and Program Cost Control team in an effort to generate accurate performance on engineering projects. Working with the Program Manager & Cost Account Managers, this individual must establish and maintain Microsoft Project schedules for various engineering development projects from the proposal stage through completion. Ensures that the project accurately reflect the statement of work / work breakdown structure, and is organized to reflect current engineering processes. Develops and maintains the baseline budget that is consistent with negotiated contract values. Status and update the schedule weekly/monthly with the Program Manager and/or Cost Account Managers. Provides the program cost analysts with updated performance and latest revised estimate data in time to meet weekly/monthly reporting requirements.
Required Skills:
Must be proficient in MS Project with a minimum of 1 year experience with the software
Experience developing time-phased budgets used in the Integrated Master Schedule
Experience working with cost account managers to update performance & Estimate-To-Complete
Experience analyzing the integrated master schedule, identifying problems, and resolving them with the PM/CAM
Must have previous experience in an engineering development environment
Knowledge of Earned Value Management concepts and metrics
Excellent communication skills
Desired Skills:
Experience with MPM & Winsight software
Knowledge of external cost reports (CPR, CFSR, etc).
Must be team oriented
Familiar with Microsoft Office suite
Required Education(including Major): BS, Engineering, Accounting, Business Administration or similar. Will consider required experience in lieu of degree.
