Description
POSITION LOCATED IN MOJAVE CALIFORNIA Develops plans and monitors performance against cost and schedule goals for a moderately sized program, or a large and complex set of work packages within a major program. Identifies and analyzes variances from program performance goals, develops reports depicting relevant information and recommends corrective actions.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Prepares, directs, and maintains complex plans for activities of a highly technical nature such as program master plan and the program network.
-Interfaces with all functions at all levels in creation and maintenance of schedule data including activity status gathering in status meetings.
-Evaluates status and reports the problem areas to supervisor, management and customer considering trends and giving recommendations for corrective actions.
-Reviews and evaluates current scheduling methodology on a continual basis.
-Performs special projects and studies as required. Performs varied program planning, scheduling and monitoring of an involved nature. Assist senior planning personnel by researching and gathering specific data (e.g., resources, schedule duration, activity constraints, and relationship of activities) required for coordination and establishment of program plans and schedules used to monitor and assess program, team or functional progress; identify deviations from established plans and develop recovery plans and actions for review and approval by senior Program Planning personnel.
-Prepare preliminary assessment of schedule integration using data received from program personnel, for use in evaluating and reporting status and schedule issues relative to accomplishment of assigned program/functional tasks.
-Generate and maintain schedule/network database for assigned area of responsibility. Assist senior scheduling and program control personnel by preparing and maintaining structured schedules used to manage projects. Prepare and maintain schedule change logs and supporting documentation if directed by program requirements.
-Develops program plans and comprehensive performance measurement packages which meet company and customer requirements.
-Utilizes automated planning systems to prepare and update a comprehensive schedule which reflects the appropriate time phased completion of tasks and the application of required resources. Suggests work-around recovery plans for schedule delays.
-Utilizes automated data collection and reporting systems and techniques to analyze variances to program performance plan. Prepares and presents program review material depicting the status. Recommends corrective actions.
-Analyzes historical program performance data to develop schedule and cost estimates in response to requests for proposals. Prepares supportive data to be used in negotiations, audit and fact-findings.
-Leads lower level administrators assigned to area of responsibility.
-Participates on or contributes to process/quality improvement teams and/or initiatives. Identifies and recommends improvements to processes, practices or materials which lead to positive results in quality. Supports or implements performance driven changes in processes and procedures.
