JOB DESCRIPTION: Perform business development activities for the Ball Systems Engineering Solutions (SES) business area in geospatial intelligence (GEOINT), measurement and signature intelligence (MASINT), knowledge management and decision support solutions, modeling and simulation, and advisory and assistance services (A&AS) programs for DoD, intelligence, homeland security, maritime domain awareness, and other related areas that support SES growth objectives. Duties Include: Identify, qualify, pursue, and support the capture of new business opportunities. Participate in developing SES annual strategic plans and business plans. Understand SES core competencies and package them into offerings to potential customers. Lead and manage the development and execution of capture plans and proposals to win new business opportunities, primarily with new customers. Establish and maintain effective relationships with current and new SES customers (both government and industry). Gain recognition as a trusted and respected representative of SES, and influence program awards consistent with customer requirements and SES objectives. Establish business development relationships with the SES Operations located in Dayton, OH; Albuquerque, NM; Chantilly, VA; and Warner Robins, GA.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Fifteen or more years professional experience developing engineering services and solutions business in defense, intelligence or related communities. Extensive knowledge of business development and proposal processes, contracting methods, program planning, program execution, and the federal budget process. Experience working with senior level government and industry officials to identify business opportunities and position the company for new business wins. Relevant experience with a proven record of achieving business development goals. Excellent leadership, judgment, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills. Desired Qualifications: Homeland security and maritime domain awareness business development experience.
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors Degree in an engineering, mathematics or physical science discipline. A Master“s degree in a related field or in a management discipline is a plus. In addition to the typical educational and experience requirements, a demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and exhibit the skills and competencies of the grade level are considered. Each higher level degree, i.e. Masters Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Two years of experience may be substituted for each year of education.
