Job Description:
Responsible for research, design, and development of computer software systems, in conjunction with hardware product development.
Requires the application of the principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
Consults with electrical or mechanical engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements of the overall system.
Develops and directs software system testing procedures, programming and documentation.
Familiarity with C programming language is required.
Responsible for the design and development of embedded software for tactical radio products.
Responsible for all phases of the product development including requirement identification, design, test and product support.
Will maintain existing software baseline as well as add new features to the product. Firmware includes both general purpose processors as well as DSP firmware.
Qualifications:
· BSCE or BSEE with 9+ years minimum experience is required.
· MSCE or MSEE 7+ years experience is desirable.
Experience:
· Experience in firmware development on embedded processors and DSPs is required.
· Experience with software development process is desired.
· Experience with C++ and object-oriented design is desired.
