As a Software Engineer at KOR Elecronics you would be a key member of an engineering team responsible for new products and systems including:

* System design, documentation, implementation, and test of the software/firmware.

* PC-based Graphical User Interface (GUI) design/development utilizing commercial off the shelf (COTS) and custom processor boards, I/O Modules and other hardware in a PC-based embedded design environment.

* Using WindRiver “Tornado”, VXWorks operating system, C++, and PC-based GUI design using Visual C++.

* Interfacing with various other engineering personnel to ensure overall system conformation to requirements.

* Conducting and/or participates in design reviews of the detail designs.

* Ensuring the system test meets customer specifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

* BSEE or BS/Computer Science and 5+ years experience as a software engineer in a design capacity, preferably in Avionics, Radar, Communications, or Electronic Warfare (EW) programs, or equivalent combination of education and experience required

* Experience in developing embedded processor code in real time applications

* Working knowledge of VXWorks OS, significant experience using C++, object oriented design, and VME or similar bus type hardware as well as a familiarity with DSP implementations required

* Experience in all phases of product development from initial concept through design, test, delivery, and installation of the final product is necessary

* Experience with Ethernet, Mil-Std 1553, RS 232/422, GUI, and prior RADAR experience preferred.

* Posess and have proven Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to communicate complex technical issues to a variety of audiences.
