Kimball’s Telecommunications, Technology, GIS/Data Consulting and Engineering Division is ready to meet the challenges of today’s expanding technology. A staff comprised of some of the most qualified professionals in the industry utilizes the latest technology to plan, design and implement state-of-the-art telecommunications systems. The firm’s wide range of clients includes governmental, public safety, and private agencies; schools and colleges; corporations; medical centers; and transportation agencies.
We have immediate openings for Defense Analysts who will be responsible for the analysis, stability and integrity of our customer’s multi-faceted data and telephony communications systems. The ideal candidate possesses a combination of analytical, task management, consulting, and writing skills for comprehensive assessments of telecommunication interoperability, staffing, organization, technology, and facilities inside a DoD environment. Active secret clearance is a plus.
Overview of Responsibilities:
• Accountable for the planning, analysis and coordination of major telecommunications projects while monitoring, providing maintenance and support for all communication links.
• Understanding of both DoD wired and wireless communications systems and related networks.
• Ability to analysis and evaluate our customer’s communication system used for interoperability.
• Manage the voice and data network services while implementing change control and documentation processes.
• Serve as resident expert to troubleshoot and solve complex customer issues that have been escalated internally.
• Support and promote teams, project managers, and business leaders in our corporate mission, values and goals.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment with tight deadlines.
• Approach assignments with a “can do” attitude.
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience is required, including at least 10 years experience in military network/communications/IT systems. Understanding of both DoD wired and wireless communications systems and related networks, applications and policies is a must. Project management experience and PMP certification is a plus. National Guard experience is a plus. Applicants must have excellent oral, writing, and interpersonal skills, and should have experience preferably in the operational employment, requirements development or delivery of DoD communications systems/programs is a strong plus. Proven analytical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills; strong configuration and communications skills are required. Candidates should be self-disciplined, flexible, resourceful, possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel at least thirty percent of the time is a must.
