Position Summary

Position reports to the Group VP of Government Services and is responsible for supporting the technology aspects of opportunity qualification and capture management. Position is responsible for creating technical solutions and offerings for clients.

The qualified candidate will have broad technical experience with a capacity to quickly understand GLOBAL's technology and systems offerings, the spaces in which the company operates, the industry partnerships needed, and be able to translate client requirements into realistic solutions that GLOBAL can implement.

The candidate may also be utilized as a program technical resource though their primary focus will be business development support activities. The candidate should have primary domain experience in: C4ISR systems (particularly as it applies to the critical infrastructure and defence communities with an emphasis on secure networks, information assurance (IA), decision support, and service-oriented-architecture (SOA)). On a secondary level the candidate will also be experienced in data fusion/mining and advanced analytic systems (particularly as it applies within the intelligence and law enforcement communities with an emphasis on information management, knowledge discovery, MLS, and data visualization).

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

-        Support business development initiatives for the capture of new technology and systems related business.
-        Expand existing client relationships by introducing them to our technology and systems offerings, and supporting the sales and delivery process to implementation.
-        Assist in technical of proposal writing and associated pricing exercises.
-        Support the establishment of teaming relationships with the necessary industry partners that fill gaps in offerings and delivery capabilities.
-        Establish a training program whereby the SBU continually increases its level of knowledge and understanding in the technology and solutions marketplace.
-        Assist in negotiation of contracts with customers, partners and vendors, as required.

Qualifications
-        Must have a bachelors degree in a technical field – advanced degree is preferred.   
-        Must have at least 10 (ten) years of relevant experience.
-         Oversight of major complex projects with technical project management experience involving project planning and budgeting.
-         Significant relevant technology sector experience supporting business development, sales and marketing with a clear track record demonstrating a strong sales ability to architect systems solutions.
-        Experience working in dynamic, highly collegial and collaborative working relationships, requiring close consultation, matrix management, and coordination.
-        Successful project engineering track record managing the development of technology based products for commercial and military applications.
-        The role of Solutions Architect demands a team player with a high level of self motivation and excellent communication skills.

Additional Skills
-        Must have strong analytical and management skills, as well as the ability to “multi-task” and prioritize on potential targets.
-        Must be knowledgeable of and able to effectively use word processing and data management systems and applications, including Microsoft Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet, sales based software and e-mail applications.
-        Preferably will have worked with other defense, systems design and CIP companies
