Description

Trofholz Technologies, Inc., (TTI) is searching for an experienced Information Technology (IT) Senior Systems Engineer. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the design of solutions covering the areas LAN/WAN, VOIP, web-based applications development and video teleconferencing (VTC). The professional will also be responsible for implementing, troubleshooting and supporting various projects relating to IT based systems. This position requires strong decision making skills in a government environment. Effective leadership skills, time management, resource management and project documentation will be needed to function on a daily basis.

Roles and Responsibilities
•        Translate, review and understand customers’ system requirements, then convert requirements into an integrated system design
•        Serves as interface between users and technical staff; users may included military, government and other non-technical personnel
•        Play a leadership role in the implementation of large-scale Information Technology projects and engineering complex systems
•        Collaborate with other design team members and demonstrate proficiency in engineering details
•        Prepare assessment and needs-analysis reports, specifications, and test and commissioning plans.
•        Support the project manager in managing the implementation and installation schedule and progress.
•        Remain current on new and emerging technologies in the physical security industry; act as a subject matter expert for the company
•        Act as a mentor and knowledge leader to other engineers in the company

Requirements
•        7 yrs experience within the IT Integration Industry
•        5 yrs experience in the design and implementation of IT based systems
•        Solid understanding of Project Management methodologies
•        Engineering and consulting skills, partnered with thorough knowledge of the security systems industry
•        Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturers and products, design principles and applicable industry standards
•        Strong written and verbal communication skills
•        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
•        A valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance are necessary
•        Active government issued security clearance or the ability to obtain a government security clearance

Education
•        Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a discipline related to the primary responsibilities and or equivalent

Preferred
•        Previous experience working with federal government agencies
